A BIT ABOUT MYSELF
I'd like to think that I have been studying film since I could first see movies, but I don't think studying is the right word for it. Now that I am a bit older and a bit wiser, I still think the word studying does not encompass my passion for the craft of filmmaking.
I can trace the beginnings of my technical understanding of filmmaking to my final days of being involved in the theater program at my high school in Houston, Texas. After being involved with the Theater program there, I started to learn more and more about equipment, DSLRs, and every step of film's creative and logistical process.
When it comes to the education I have received at my college, the University of Houston, I deliberately decided not to pursue a degree in the technical process. I realized that the filmmakers I idolized didn’t study film or film technology in college. Most of them either studied Philosophy (Wes Craven), Psychology (Wes Anderson, James Gunn) or English (Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorcese). The latters' films have inspired my approach to filmmaking more than any other individuals so I decided to study English Literature.
Although I didn’t pursue a major related to film’s technical processes, I sought out additional opportunities to refine my skill set. Along with my major in English Literature, I have a minor in film studies and served in several student organizations that focused on content creation and film making. My involvement in one of these student organizations, the Student Video Network, led to me becoming their studio and equipment manager.
This all culminates in where I am now: Los Angeles. Near the end of 2018, I moved to California to pursue filmmaking as a profession. I realized if I wanted to do this seriously, I must be where most of the work is. Now that I am here, I can't wait to see what I can create with other creative individuals.

MY SKILLSETS
I am skilled in nearly every aspect of filmmaking, which I’ve outlined below:

In Pre-Production, I have experience conceptualizing, researching, and writing/formatting stories ranging from grounded science fiction to documentaries about surgeons.

During Productions, I have served as a director, cinematographer, assistant camera, gaffer, boom operator, audio mixer, and grip.

In Post Production, I have experience editing, color grading, audio mixing, audio mastering, compositing, and motion graphics. This is where most of my skills lie, as I’ve edited content for nearly 10 years.
